These genuine widow’s mites necklaces are custom set in solid sterling silver, with every joint soldered to prevent loss as well as set on a satellite chain to prevent the clasp from slipping forward. These coins are over 2000 years old and each one is unique. While some of the coins we receive are well preserved, some have been worn by centuries of use. These are our favorites as, even though they are smaller and more irregular, their wear proves that they have passed through many, many hands… given in trade and possibly even slipped from the hands of a poor widow into an offering box and their fall could’ve rang the ears of Jesus and his disciples! Each piece is unique. If, after ordering online, you would like to see the coins available, please message us at 309-359-7022 and we will be happy to send you a photo of which mites are available for you to choose from. What a blessing to own such a piece of history!!!
He Sees You, Sister. In a world that often measures worth by numbers and outward appearances, it’s easy to feel unseen or unworthy. But the story of the widow’s mite in Mark 12 reminds us of a profound truth: God doesn’t measure by the world’s standards… He measures by the heart.
Jesus sat and watched as many gave offerings at the temple. Some gave large sums, yet it was the widow, with her two tiny coins, who caught His attention. She gave all she had, trusting that God would provide for her needs. In that moment, Jesus declared her gift greater than all the others. Why? Because she gave out of her poverty, her faith, and her love.
God calls us to do the same… to give our all, not in competition with others, but in alignment with the gifts He’s entrusted to us. Your “all” may not be financial. He is the God of the Universe… He doesn’t need or want your money. He wants your heart. He wants you to trust Him… unerringly and without hesitation. He wants your faith in Him to be so unshakable that your hand doesn’t even tremble as you drop every proverbial cent you have into an offering plate without the slightest concern of how you’re going to buy bread tomorrow because you know that He already has your tomorrow in His more capable hands.
So, if it’s not just money, what else could He be asking of you? What has He laid on your heart to do according to His purpose? It could be the time you spend encouraging a friend, the meal you prepare for a struggling family, or the home you open to someone who needs a refuge. It could be the tear soaked prayers you lift up late at night or the small acts of kindness you offer strangers when no one is watching.
The world may not notice your contributions. They may feel small, even insignificant. But, some days, that is all you have left to give and SISTER, HE SEES YOU. He sees your sacrifice, your faith, and your heart. And in His hands, even the smallest offering can ripple through generations, just as a widow’s coins falling into an offering plate have echoed for over 2,000 years.
You don’t need to have much to make a difference. You only need to trust Him with what you do have and He will do the rest. When you give your all, no matter how humble it may seem, you are honoring God and stepping into His divine purpose. And His purposes are ALWAYS good, ALWAYS far-reaching, and ALWAYS rooted in His love.
So as you go about your day today and every day after this, remember that nothing is too small when given to the Lord. Every act of obedience, every step of faith, every gift of love is seen by Him and multiplied for His glory.
Take heart, sister. He sees you, He is for you, and He is using your offering in ways you may never fully know. Your two mites, given in faith, hold the power to change eternity.
