This silver plated ring has a 5/16-inch tree cross.
Before there was a cross, there was a tree. A tree that God Himself allowed to grow from a seed. It didn’t just spring up… He placed it and He grew it. He sent rain and sun to grow it large enough that it would eventually be chosen to be cut down and made into a cross. God knew what the tree would become when that seed fell to the ground and still, God grew the tree. It broke His heart, but still, God grew the tree. He knew the pain it would cause Him but He also knew the salvation it would bring us. He chose the greater good then and He is still choosing the greater good. He’s still growing trees. In each of our lives, there are “seeds” growing that will one day be a cross for each of us to bear… a sin we struggle with, a loss we feel, a relationship that fails, something that we will wrestle with. God is still growing those figurative trees that turn into crosses that remind us we must die unto ourselves and surrender completely to Him. He is still growing trees that will eventually bring us to our knees because there, and only there, we will be willing to surrender. Only there will we realize that we need Him as desperately as He wants us… so much so that a long time ago, God grew the tree.
